GUIDELINES
1) Publishers – I am happy to accept ARC’s for PB, MG, YA and NA in any genre except horror. Please let me know whether you wish a copy of the review sent to you pre posting.
2) Children’s books or book Apps only, please.
3) Bound copies preferred. Will review ebooks (iPad and Kindle). I am on netgalley.
4) I have a preference for books with multi cultural themes, tolerance and/or animals/conservation etc
5) I will not post bad reviews on this site.
6) I reserve the right not to post a review.
7) Reviews will be posted on this site, Goodreads & Amazon when time allows.
8) I am no longer receiving self-published books for review due to an overwhelming number of requests.
If you agree to the above guidelines, send an email to me at jdmarple@gmail.com. Please put Book Review Request as the subject. In the body of the email, write a brief description of your book & your bio, and include any links pertaining to you & your book.
Please note that I do have a large to-be-read pile and there is usually a one to two month wait. I do not accept money for reviews.
No book will be resold. I reserve the right to keep my very favorites. The others will be donated to hospitals and schools.
In my 20's, with only my guitar and a rucksack, I wandered the continents, immersing myself in the lives of some wonderful people, projects and stories, which changed the way I view my responsibility to others and this earth. Right now I'm a European transplant in the US who writes books for children and young adults. Stories can help us not only navigate our world but can connect us to others, and allow us to inspire and help each other. I believe that equity and empathy should be at the core of our all actions, words, and stories.
I am also a school librarian and I get a kick out of book-matchmaking! And I use the pronouns she/her.
